Cloud River (Acoustic)

Went in a cool place this summer with a nice river, and thought I should record a little something there :)

For the story, "Cloud River" was referencing to another river but I never had the opportunity to return there since the song came out to shoot a video ... so I did it there instead because I felt it was a nice place to do it !
The river the song was named after was the last place I spent time with my dog Droopy before he passed away in September 2020. "Farewell" was already referencing to him in a more explicit way, and this one was a little more subtle. On the original artwork from Cloud River, the dodo bird is watching him across the cloud river, representing the gap between life and death, between the ground and the skies.

Originally written in acoustic but rearranged for the album with an electric guitar and drums, this version of Cloud River is closer to the original idea for this song, with a more soothing acoustic sound.

Today is September 27th, Droopy would have turned 15 so it's a nice day to release it ! :)
